2020 | Inquiry on Mask Use

As an essential worker at an art supply store in Florida during the early stages of the pandemic, I encountered many customers with strong opinions on the division of mask wearing. I took this opportunity to interview random customers.  Each subject was asked to stand for a picture; they were asked to leave their mask on if they wear their masks regularly and to take the mask off for the picture if they do not. Each person also responded on a sticky note why they do or don't wear a mask. All responses were kept separate from the portraits and their sequence does not correlate with the photos.  These responses taken are largely anonymous and not linked to any one portrait.
